How do I disable images from the Google Chrome browser so they do not load by default even if I visit new websites?

To do this on an single website: Click on the padlock or (i)-like icon to the left of the web address field > and then click on the drop down menu by Images > and set Block > then reload the page.

To do this for every website: Go to chrome://settings/content/images?search=image and toggle off: Do not show any images
